Friday night is when you discuss about muses :). I am yet to get into deep thoughts on art and artists but I will surely get there soon because I have collected heap of books of every genre. Moreover men will be men. If you dont know Sungandha, Raja Ravi Verma\'s muse, she was his romantic interest and muse he got acquainted during his travels. Her poise and beauty made him paint his works on Goddess Laxmi and Saraswati and also later some classic work on Damayanti. Then there is mention of Binodini Dasi the muse of artist Ramkinkar Baij. She was a tribal women but looks like from his work that she was a very robust and attractive women. Young ppl know the legendary M.F Hussain. Then there is Amrita Sher Gill everyone has heard of her and she portrayed herself in the quest for self identity. What do you think ? Is muse a per sculpture, per painting concept? or a life-long obsession ? I will get back to this later when I figure it out and when I am certain but for now I guess its about intensity and zeal.
